(Educating Practices in Communities)

Autism Spectrum Disorders

The Autism Spectrum disorders (ASD) module is provided through the Educating Practices in Communities (EPIC) program. The purpose is to help practices implement an autism screening tool and offer resources for families whose children are identified. A professional trainer visits your practice at a convenient time and provides a brief presentation to you and your staff on early detection of ASDs and referral of children for further evaluation and intervention.

Oral Health

The Oral Health module is provided through the Educating Practices in Communities (EPIC) program. A trainer (physician, dentist, or hygienist) visits your practice and provides a brief presentation to you and your staff on preventive oral health in children and application of flouride varnish. The presentation is accredited by the Department of Social Services, and Medicaid billing and payment for dental services provided in primary care are reviewed.
