Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is accredited by the Connecticut State Medical Society to sponsor Continuing Medical Education for Physicians
Our activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)

Application Deadlines


  • Regularly Scheduled Series: Multiple activities during the academic year that occur weekly, monthly, or quarterly. I.e.: Grand Rounds, Tumor Boards, M&M Conferences.
  • Single Occurrence Activity:  A one-time activity that may include a variety of sub-specialty topics, speakers, and/or educational formats.  

Renewal Applications:
The Office of Continuing Medical Education will coordinate completion of renewal applications with Activity Directors and Administrative Contacts.

New Application Review Schedule:
For activities scheduled between January 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019 (mid academic year applications):

On or Before October 2, 2018 Mandatory Meeting with CME Office
On or Before October 9, 2018 Application & Forms Due 
October 16, 2018  CME Committee Meeting for Approval
Committee meets at 7:00 am
January 1, 2019  Publicity can begin

For activities scheduled between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020 ( full academic year applications):
On or Before March 5, 2019 Mandatory Meeting with CME Office
On or Before March 12, 2019 Application & Forms Due
March 19, 2019 CME Committee Meeting for Approval
Committee meets at 7:00 am
July 1, 2019 Publicity can begin
